Partnership Compatibility

The partnership compatibility calculator checks every founder's number against every other founder's, in both directions, against the friendship table and the pairings the method rules out for business. The outright refusals are shown first, ahead of the risks to manage.

The founders

Two to 6 people. Only the date of birth is needed — the method uses no birth time.

Founder 1
Founder 2
Optional. Adds a check of every founder against the company name.

Dates of birth only

The method needs no birth time and no place. The day of the month gives the birth number; every digit of the full date gives the destiny number.

Refusals come first

A handful of pairings are stated as refusals rather than as low scores. Where one appears, it is put above the score rather than folded into it.

Roles are the first fix

Where a partnership is already formed and the numbers are difficult, the source material re-cuts the roles before it considers anything else.

What the business partner compatibility calculator does

The business partner compatibility calculator checks every founder's birth number against every other founder's, in both directions, and flags the pairings the method refuses for business outright. It needs nothing but a date of birth for each person. Refusals are shown first, then an overall score, then each pairing with the reason for its verdict.

Enter between two and six founders. A name for each is optional and only labels the rows. The business name is optional too: add it and the calculator also checks the company's total against every founder, the way the founder compatibility calculator checks it against one. With six founders there are fifteen pairings, and every one is read.

How numerology compatibility between business partners is worked out

  1. Each founder's numbers. The birth number, also called the driver number, is the day of the month reduced to one digit. The destiny number, or conductor number, is every digit of the full date added and reduced.
  2. Every pairing, both ways. For each pair of founders the calculator asks how the first birth number regards the second, then how the second regards the first. Each answer is friendly, neutral or adverse, and the two are scored and averaged.
  3. The refusals. Separately from the friendship reading, the method names pairings it refuses for business: 1 with 8, 2 with 8, 2 with 9, 3 with 6, 4 with 8, 4 with 9, 2 with 7, two 8s and two 4s. A refused pairing is held to a low score however the two directions read.
  4. A verdict per pairing, set by the two directions and the refusal list together.
  5. The overall score. The average of every pairing is blended with the weakest pairing, so with three or more founders a single poor link pulls the reading down further than a plain average would. A business name, when given, folds each founder's fit with it into the total.

This table shows what each verdict takes, using the first pairing in the grid that earns it:

VerdictExample birth numbersFirst reads secondSecond reads firstRefused
Excellent1 and 2friendlyfriendlyno
Workable1 and 4neutralfriendlyno
Neutral1 and 1neutralneutralno
Avoid1 and 8adverseadverseyes
Difficult2 and 4adverseadverseno

Why a reading of A about B can differ from B about A

The friendship table is directional, and the calculator keeps it that way. Read the grid below along a row: the row is the founder doing the regarding, the column is the founder being regarded. F is friendly, N neutral and A adverse.

Birth number123456789

5FFFFFFFFF
6FNANFFFNA
7FNNNFFNNN
8AAFAFFFAA

Most pairings read the same from both sides. Eight do not: 1 with 4, 1 with 7, 1 with 9, 3 with 8, 4 with 6, 4 with 7, 6 with 8 and 7 with 8. In each of these one founder counts the other a friend and the regard is not returned. The calculator marks them one-way rather than averaging the difference out of sight, because being counted a friend is not the same as counting someone a friend. The longer explanation, with a worked asymmetric pair, is in business partner compatibility in numerology.

Worked example: three founders, one refused pairing

Three invented co-founders:

FounderBornBirth numberDestiny number
Meera19 March 198819/139/3
Rohan27 November 198527/934/7
Tanvi17 May 199017/832/5

The calculator reads three pairings:

Pairing (birth numbers)First reads secondSecond reads firstScoreVerdictDestiny numbers
Meera (1) and Rohan (9)neutralfriendly81WorkableNeutral (62)
Meera (1) and Tanvi (8)adverseadverse18AvoidExcellent (100)
Rohan (9) and Tanvi (8)adverseadverse18DifficultExcellent (100)

Meera and Tanvi fall on one of the refused pairings, so that line is marked Avoid and the headline reads "Proceed with caution" whatever the other scores say. Meera and Rohan show the directional rule at work: 1 reads 9 as neutral, but 9 reads 1 as friendly. The regard is not returned, so the pairing is workable rather than excellent. The destiny-number line is shown for context; it does not move the score or the verdict, which rest on the birth numbers.

With all three founders the overall score is 30. Take the refused pairing out and run Meera and Rohan alone, and it reads 81, "Workable partnership". Add a business name such as Orchard Row, totalling 39/3, and the name reads against the founders as Meera excellent, Rohan strong and Tanvi excellent; the overall moves to 51, but the refusal still heads the result.

How to read the partnership result

  • Refusals, stated first. Each refused pairing is named above the score. The source material states these as refusals rather than risks, and where such a partnership already exists its own remedy is to re-cut the roles or bring in a compatible third holder, not to dissolve first.
  • The headline. An overall verdict and score, with the weakest pairing's score beside it.
  • The founders table. Each person's birth and destiny numbers, so the arithmetic can be checked.
  • Pair by pair. Both directions in words, a one-way badge where the regard is not returned, and the destiny-number reading underneath.
  • Who should hold what. A function for each founder, taken from the birth number, with the work that number suits and the work to keep it away from. The method treats role allocation as the first correction for a difficult pairing.
  • The company name against each founder, when a name is given, so it is clear which founder the name is actually serving.
  • Founders the method would rather saw working alone. A separate note for birth numbers the source material reads as poorly suited to partnership in general.

Driver and conductor number compatibility: where readings differ

Refusals are their own rule. The refusal list does not simply repeat the friendship table. 2 with 7 (neutral both ways) is refused although neither side reads the other as adverse, while 2 with 4, 6 with 9 and 8 with 9 read each other as adverse both ways and are not refused; the calculator calls those difficult. Keeping the two rules apart is why a refusal is shown above the score instead of being folded into it.

The conductor number. Some treatments combine driver and conductor into one composite grade. This calculator bases each verdict on the birth numbers and reports the destiny-number reading beside it, so the two can be weighed separately. To find both numbers for a date first, the driver and conductor number calculator shows the addition.

The solo numbers. Beyond the pairwise refusals, the source material names some birth numbers as better working alone, then withdraws the objection where the destiny number or the date of birth carries a 5. The calculator shows that note, exception included, beside the founder rather than scoring either.

Where this calculator runs out

A partnership is a legal and commercial decision first. Equity, control, vesting, what happens when a founder leaves, and whether the people involved trust each other's judgement all matter more than any reading here, and a shareholders' agreement is the document that settles them. The calculator applies one documented tradition to dates of birth; numerology has no scientific standing, and nothing on this page can say whether a partnership will last or make money.

Use the result to structure a conversation about roles and about which pairings deserve extra care, not to choose or reject a person. For naming a firm with two or more founders, partnership business name numerology covers whose number the name should serve.

Frequently asked questions

Can two business partners share the same birth number?

Yes, but the reading depends on the number. For two founders on the same birth number the calculator reads the pairing as neutral for 1, 2, 7 and 9; excellent for 3, 5 and 6; refused for 4 and 8. The same number does not automatically mean agreement, because the method reads some numbers as neutral or adverse towards themselves.

Why does the calculator read each pairing in both directions?

Because the friendship table is directional. One birth number can count another as a friend while the other regards it only as neutral. Averaging the two into a single figure would hide that, so both directions are shown and a one-way pairing is labelled as such.

Does the destiny or conductor number change the partnership verdict?

No. Each verdict and the overall score rest on the birth numbers. The destiny-number reading is shown under every pairing so it can be weighed separately, and some founders will want to give it more weight than the calculator does.

Which birth number is compatible with every other number in business?

In this calculator only 5 pairs as excellent with every birth number, its own included. It reads no number as adverse and sits on no refused pairing, which is also why the source material returns to it as a safe default elsewhere in the method.

What if an existing partnership falls on a refused pairing?

The source material does not advise dissolving first. Its stated remedies are to re-cut the roles so the two founders do not work across each other, or to bring in a compatible third holder. Any real change to a partnership belongs with the partners and their legal and financial advisers.

How many business partners can be checked at once?

Between two and six founders, each with a date of birth. The calculator reads every pairing among them, which is fifteen pairings at the upper limit, and it weights the weakest pairing heavily in the overall score.

Does a strong compatibility score mean the partnership will succeed?

No. The score describes how birth numbers relate under one documented tradition, and numerology has no scientific standing. It cannot account for skills, money, commitment or the agreement the founders sign. Treat it as a prompt for discussing roles, not as a forecast.
