Each digit carries a planet, a temperament, a way of making money and a list of trades it suits. These nine pages set out what the source material says about each one, and what it does not say.
Business numerology works from a small number of inputs and reads them against each other. The nine single digits are the vocabulary. Everything else on this site — compound numbers, sector fit, partnership blocks, launch dates — is built from them.
Two things are worth knowing before you read a number page. First, the same digit means different things in different roles: a 1 as a birth number is not a 1 as a company name. The method keeps those layers apart and so do we. Second, the source material does not rank the digits against each other. There is no best number. There is a number that fits a founder, a sector and a name, and the work is in finding the overlap.
The planet attributions used here follow the source material without exception: 4 is Rahu and 7 is Ketu, not the Uranus and Neptune of the Western books. Every relationship claim on this site rests on that map, so it is worth stating plainly.
Leads, decides fast, and does badly under anyone else
The method reads 1 as the number of the head of the table. It is the first number, the one the other eight are built from, and the source material treats it as authority, visibility and speed rather than patience.
Builds trust slowly, and does its best work beside someone else
Two is the Moon: fluid, cyclical, and read by the method as the number that supports rather than commands. It is the one digit the source material sends towards employment before entrepreneurship.
Earns from what it knows, and loses time proving it knows more
Three is Jupiter, the teacher planet, and the method reads it as expansion through knowledge — teaching, advising, publishing, counselling. It is one of two numbers the source material says can go either way on the job-or-business question.
Slow to build, lumpy in cash, and dangerous without an adviser
Four is Rahu in this system — not Uranus. The method reads it as the number of the unseen: technology, precision, media, and anything that exists without being physically present. It is also the number with the widest gap between a good outcome and a bad one.
Sells, moves, and connects — and is the one number with no partnership blocks
Five is Mercury: speech, intelligence and the movement of money. It is the most permissive number in the source material — no trade is forbidden to it, and no partnership is blocked.
Sells perception, prices on brand, and should stay out of teaching
Six is Venus: beauty, comfort, glamour and margin. The source material gives 6 the largest list of suitable industries of any digit, and one of the firmest prohibitions.
Deep, slow, and exposed to the wrong partner
Seven is Ketu in this system — not Neptune. The method reads it as research, depth, the occult and the foreign, and it is the second of the two numbers sent towards employment rather than ownership.
Paid late and paid permanently, with the longest partnership blacklist
Eight is Saturn: labour, structure, law and time. The source material reads it as the number where the return is delayed and then does not go away, and it is the number with the most prohibitions attached.
Scale, force and manpower — and a short fuse on control
Nine is Mars: energy, aggression, manpower and heavy industry. The source material reads it as the number that builds at scale and disengages the moment control is taken away.
If you are naming a company, start with your own birth number and destiny number, then read the business page for the number you are considering putting the name on. The two are different questions and the source material answers them separately.
If you are deciding whether to enter a sector, read the number page first and the industry guide second. The sector map is applied after the founder's numbers, never instead of them.
If you are assessing a partnership, the relationship table on each page is directional. A one-way friendship is a different situation from a mutual one, and the method treats it that way. Separately from the friendship table there is a short list of pairings ruled out for business outright, and those are shown on each number's page too.
The source material does not name one. It matches the number to the founder and to the sector instead, and it warns specifically against assuming that 5 and 6 are good name numbers in every case. What it does state is a short avoid list for a business name: 2, 4 and 8.
The birth number comes from the day of the month you were born and is fixed. The name number comes from the letters of a name and is the only one of the three core numbers that can be changed.
Both, and the method keeps them apart. A number can suit a founder and be wrong for the company name at the same time — 4 is the clearest case of that in the source material.
