Numerology Company Name List: Business Name Ideas 1 to 9

A numerology company name list of 135 invented names grouped by their Chaldean number, with the arithmetic shown for two names in every group so the method can be checked.

Numerology Company Name List: Business Name Ideas 1 to 9

4 Sep 2026 · Updated 13 Sep 2026 · 2422 words · Guide · How this is checked

Below is a numerology company name list of 135 invented business names, sorted by the number each produces in Chaldean numerology. Every name carries its compound total and reduced digit, written as 37/1. Two per group are worked out letter by letter, so you can check the arithmetic rather than trust the list. None has been checked for trademark availability.

The list is a starting point, not a verdict. A number tells you what the tradition says about a name's character, not whether it is available, memorable, or spellable over the phone.

How this numerology company name list is built

Every name is scored in Chaldean numerology, which assigns eight values across the twenty-six letters. There is no 9 in the letter table — the tradition holds 9 apart — though a name total can still reduce to 9.

ValueLetters
1A, I, J, Q, Y
2B, K, R
3C, G, L, S
4D, M, T
5E, H, N, X
6U, V, W
7O, Z
8F, P

Convert each letter and add them: that is the compound number. Add its digits for the reduced digit, the number people mean when they say "the name is a 5". The tradition reads the compound first — 46/1 and 55/1 are both ones, read differently.

Because reducing returns the remainder after division by nine, only nine outcomes exist: roughly one business name in nine lands on any given number by chance. A name computing to 8 is not rare.

Three counting rules govern this list, because sources differ on all three.

Spaces and punctuation count for nothing, so "Cedar Media" and "CedarMedia" total the same and a multi-word name's total is the sum of its words' totals. Entity suffixes are not counted: Pvt Ltd, LLP, Inc and LLC are conferred by a registrar and describe legal form, not identity, so score "Bramble Estates", not "Bramble Estates Pvt Ltd". Score the name actually used — where registered and trading names differ, the tradition reads the one on the signage.

Pythagorean assigns 1–9 across the alphabet and usually gives a different answer for the same name; the difference between Chaldean and Pythagorean numerology is set out separately. Mixing the two produces nonsense.

The numerology company name list, number by number

Each group gives the number's traditional character, the names, and the arithmetic for two. The names are invented: demonstrations of the method first, raw material second.

Number 1 — the founder-led name

The tradition attaches 1 to origination, singular authority and the person at the front. It suits a practice or a firm built around one identifiable operator, and describes a partnership poorly: where two people hold equal say, a 1 name flatters one of them.

Bright Works (37/1) · Cedar Bureau (37/1) · Anvil Atelier (37/1) · Citadel Studio (46/1) · Granite Chambers (46/1) · Cadence Works (46/1) · Maple Advisory (46/1) · Bramble Practice (46/1) · Ashfield Studio (55/1) · Aster Consulting (55/1) · Oakhurst Chambers (55/1) · Bellfield Partners (64/1) · Duskwood Studio (64/1) · Cipher Consulting (64/1) · Cornerstone Studio (73/1)

Bright Works — B·R·I·G·H·T·W·O·R·K·S = 2+2+1+3+5+4+6+7+2+2+3 = 37, then 3+7 = 10 → 1+0 = 1. Reported as 37/1.

Citadel Studio — C·I·T·A·D·E·L·S·T·U·D·I·O = 3+1+4+1+4+5+3+3+4+6+4+1+7 = 46, then 4+6 = 10 → 1+0 = 1. Reported as 46/1.

Number 2 — the partnership name

2 reads as pairing, mediation and response rather than initiation. The tradition treats it as suited to anything between two parties: agency work, broking, advisory, joint ventures. Its weakness is decisiveness.

Amber Union (38/2) · Aster Rooms (38/2) · Citadel Guild (38/2) · Axiom Bench (38/2) · Bright Partners (47/2) · Beacon Union (47/2) · Cobble Advisory (47/2) · Cadence Partners (56/2) · Anvil Collective (56/2) · Blackthorn Bureau (56/2) · Harbour Collective (65/2) · Highfield Partners (65/2) · Duskwood House (65/2) · Silverline Collective (74/2) · Cornerstone House (74/2)

Amber Union — A·M·B·E·R·U·N·I·O·N = 1+4+2+5+2+6+5+1+7+5 = 38, then 3+8 = 11 → 1+1 = 2. Reported as 38/2.

Harbour Collective — H·A·R·B·O·U·R·C·O·L·L·E·C·T·I·V·E = 5+1+2+2+7+6+2+3+7+3+3+5+3+4+1+6+5 = 65, then 6+5 = 11 → 1+1 = 2. Reported as 65/2.

Both pass through 11. Some practitioners stop there and report a master number; this site's default reduces to 1–9.

Number 3 — the expression name

3 is communication, teaching, publishing and expansion. It reads well over anything earning its money from output: words, images, courses, events. The habitual criticism of 3 is scatter — much started, less finished.

Cedar Media (30/3) · Aster Media (30/3) · Ridge Media (30/3) · Axiom Press (39/3) · Ember Press (39/3) · Citadel Almanac (39/3) · Falcon Press (48/3) · Bracken Studios (48/3) · Bramble Gazette (48/3) · Ashbourne Press (57/3) · Bellfield Archive (57/3) · Blackthorn Prints (57/3) · Harbour Bookshop (66/3) · Cornerstone Almanac (66/3) · Ledger Letterpress (66/3)

Cedar Media — C·E·D·A·R·M·E·D·I·A = 3+5+4+1+2+4+5+4+1+1 = 30, then 3+0 = 3. Reported as 30/3.

Falcon Press — F·A·L·C·O·N·P·R·E·S·S = 8+1+3+3+7+5+8+2+5+3+3 = 48, then 4+8 = 12 → 1+2 = 3. Reported as 48/3.

Number 4 — the systems name

The tradition attaches 4 to technology, structure and the unseen mechanism — things that work without being watched. Software, instrumentation, logistics, anything with a back end. It is treated cautiously for consumer-facing retail, because 4 is not warm.

Quarry Labs (22/4) · Cedar Signal (31/4) · Ledger Labs (31/4) · Rampart Labs (31/4) · Bright Systems (40/4) · Amber Optics (40/4) · Axiom Analytics (40/4) · Beacon Optics (49/4) · Cadence Systems (49/4) · Bracken Robotics (49/4) · Abacus Instruments (58/4) · Axiom Engineering (58/4) · Clearwater Optics (58/4) · Halcyon Instruments (67/4) · Falcon Engineering (67/4)

Quarry Labs — Q·U·A·R·R·Y·L·A·B·S = 1+6+1+2+2+1+3+1+2+3 = 22, then 2+2 = 4. Reported as 22/4.

Bright Systems — B·R·I·G·H·T·S·Y·S·T·E·M·S = 2+2+1+3+5+4+3+1+3+4+5+4+3 = 40, then 4+0 = 4. Reported as 40/4.

"Unlucky" overstates it, but 4 is one of the two totals the method flags as difficult for a trading name, and the founder check marks a 4 name down for every birth number. The sector map still lists it first for technology: an asset in infrastructure, a liability at a shop counter.

Number 5 — the trading name

5 is movement, exchange and turnover: retail, media, brokerage, distribution, anything transactional and fast. The tradition regards it as the most commercially adaptable of the nine and the least suited to work requiring patience.

Bright Media (32/5) · Cedar Wares (32/5) · Abacus Signal (32/5) · Cadence Media (41/5) · Granite Trading (41/5) · Aster Courier (41/5) · Citadel Transit (41/5) · Axiom Exchange (50/5) · Ashfield Trading (50/5) · Bulwark Logistics (50/5) · Copper Courier (59/5) · Falcon Exchange (59/5) · Duskwood Trading (59/5) · Cornerstone Trading (68/5) · Ironwood Dispatch (68/5)

Bright Media — B·R·I·G·H·T·M·E·D·I·A = 2+2+1+3+5+4+4+5+4+1+1 = 32, then 3+2 = 5. Reported as 32/5.

Granite Trading — G·R·A·N·I·T·E·T·R·A·D·I·N·G = 3+2+1+5+1+4+5+4+2+1+4+1+5+3 = 41, then 4+1 = 5. Reported as 41/5.

Number 6 — the service name

6 is comfort, appearance, hospitality and negotiation: food, interiors, textiles, beauty — anywhere being looked after is the product. Its weakness is that 6 accommodates, discounting to keep people happy.

Bracken Bakery (33/6) · Cinder Bakery (33/6) · Kindle Bakery (33/6) · Amber Kitchens (42/6) · Aster Roasters (42/6) · Bramble Creamery (42/6) · Axiom Threads (42/6) · Citadel Interiors (51/6) · Beacon Studios (51/6) · Alderway Kitchens (51/6) · Ashfield Interiors (60/6) · Clearwater Kitchens (60/6) · Copper Roasters (60/6) · Havenwood Creamery (69/6) · Ironwood Textiles (69/6)

Cinder Bakery — C·I·N·D·E·R·B·A·K·E·R·Y = 3+1+5+4+5+2+2+1+2+5+2+1 = 33, then 3+3 = 6. Reported as 33/6.

Amber Kitchens — A·M·B·E·R·K·I·T·C·H·E·N·S = 1+4+2+5+2+2+1+4+3+5+5+5+3 = 42, then 4+2 = 6. Reported as 42/6.

Number 7 — the specialist name

7 is research, analysis and depth over reach: consultancy, laboratories, niche manufacture, archives. The tradition is cautious about 7 for mass-market retail: it tends narrow and particular, the opposite of what volume trade needs.

Bright Optics (43/7) · Citadel Analytics (43/7) · Maple Analytics (43/7) · Bracken Archive (43/7) · Cedar Apothecary (52/7) · Compass Archive (52/7) · Bulwark Botanicals (52/7) · Granite Consulting (61/7) · Bellfield Practice (61/7) · Compass Surveying (61/7) · Bramble Instruments (61/7) · Ashfield Consulting (70/7) · Juniper Instruments (70/7) · Ironwood Consulting (79/7) · Wrenfield Consulting (79/7)

Bright Optics — B·R·I·G·H·T·O·P·T·I·C·S = 2+2+1+3+5+4+7+8+4+1+3+3 = 43, then 4+3 = 7. Reported as 43/7.

Cedar Apothecary — C·E·D·A·R·A·P·O·T·H·E·C·A·R·Y = 3+5+4+1+2+1+8+7+4+5+5+3+1+2+1 = 52, then 5+2 = 7. Reported as 52/7.

Number 8 — the accumulating name

8 is the slow number: heavy, patient and accumulating, with property and land as its asset class. It is late, and with 4 it is one of the two totals the method flags as difficult for a trading name, though the sector map still lists it for real estate. Businesses under an 8 name are described as taking longer to reach a given point and holding it more firmly once there — a poor fit for anything that must pay for itself quickly.

Amber Capital (35/8) · Bramble Realty (35/8) · Bright Timber (35/8) · Quill Capital (35/8) · Beacon Capital (44/8) · Bramble Estates (44/8) · Eastgate Timber (44/8) · Fernway Realty (44/8) · Bulwark Holdings (53/8) · Fairmont Capital (53/8) · Highfield Timber (53/8) · Bright Properties (62/8) · Falcon Ironworks (62/8) · Cadence Properties (71/8) · Havenwood Estates (71/8)

Amber Capital — A·M·B·E·R·C·A·P·I·T·A·L = 1+4+2+5+2+3+1+8+1+4+1+3 = 35, then 3+5 = 8. Reported as 35/8.

Bramble Estates — B·R·A·M·B·L·E·E·S·T·A·T·E·S = 2+2+1+4+2+3+5+5+3+4+1+4+5+3 = 44, then 4+4 = 8. Reported as 44/8.

If you are weighing an 8 name, the fuller argument about whether 8 is a good number for business is worth reading first.

Number 9 — the completion name

9 is the number Chaldean withholds from the letters, yet plenty of names total to a multiple of nine and land there. The tradition reads 9 as completion, force and endings: engineering, heavy work, tools. Its risk is the ending part.

Bright Cartage (36/9) · Anvil Works (36/9) · Slate Works (36/9) · Axiom Motors (45/9) · Cinder Forge (45/9) · Citadel Tools (45/9) · Ember Motors (45/9) · Amber Engineering (54/9) · Bramble Ironworks (54/9) · Ashfield Tools (54/9) · Beacon Engineering (63/9) · Alderway Steelworks (63/9) · Clearwater Engineering (72/9) · Keystone Engineering (72/9) · Cornerstone Tools (72/9)

Anvil Works — A·N·V·I·L·W·O·R·K·S = 1+5+6+1+3+6+7+2+2+3 = 36, then 3+6 = 9. Reported as 36/9.

Axiom Motors — A·X·I·O·M·M·O·T·O·R·S = 1+5+1+7+4+4+7+4+7+2+3 = 45, then 4+5 = 9. Reported as 45/9.

Checking a name yourself

Write the name in capitals without spaces, punctuation or entity suffix. Put the Chaldean value under each letter, add them for the compound, then add those digits until one remains. Report both, compound first. Check against the ladder below: a name reducing to 3 must total 12, 21, 30, 39, 48, 57, 66, 75 or 84, and anything off the ladder is a miscounted letter — usually U, V or W.

A business name broken into letters with their Chaldean values, totalled per word and then in full
Letter by letter, word by word, compound before reduced.

The business name analyser runs the same arithmetic and shows its working, quicker for a long shortlist. The name recommendation tool inverts the problem, generating candidates that hit a target number.

Compound numbers: why 46/1 is not the same as 55/1

Each group spans several compound totals, and the tradition does not treat them as interchangeable. The digit gives the character; the compound gives the texture.

ReducedCompound ladder
110, 19, 28, 37, 46, 55, 64, 73, 82
211, 20, 29, 38, 47, 56, 65, 74, 83
312, 21, 30, 39, 48, 57, 66, 75, 84
413, 22, 31, 40, 49, 58, 67, 76, 85
514, 23, 32, 41, 50, 59, 68, 77, 86
615, 24, 33, 42, 51, 60, 69, 78, 87
716, 25, 34, 43, 52, 61, 70, 79, 88
817, 26, 35, 44, 53, 62, 71, 80, 89
918, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 90

"Citadel Studio" at 46/1 and "Ashfield Studio" at 55/1 both reduce to a leader-shaped digit, but 46 is read as good for partnerships of every kind, while 55 is favoured for a sole owner and avoided for a partnership. Ignore the compound and you throw away most of the information; the compound numbers reference sets out each reading.

How to use a numerology company name list without outsourcing your judgement

The number is a comparison, not a score. There is no best number in the abstract. 8 suits a property holding company and hampers a fast-moving consumer brand; 5 does the reverse. The question is always "good for what", which the guide to best name numbers for business works through by sector.

The name still has to work as a name. Pronounceable, spellable, not taken, available as a domain and a handle, carrying no unfortunate meaning in a language your customers speak. A name that scores well and fails these is the worse choice.

Trademark clearance is not optional. Every name above is invented, and some will resemble businesses that exist. Search the classes and territories that matter to you, and take advice if the answer is unclear. Nothing here is legal advice or a clearance opinion.

Match the name to the founder. The tradition reads a name total against the founder's driver and conductor numbers, never in isolation. A 5 name held by a founder whose chart is all 4 is a different proposition. The founder compatibility tool runs that comparison, and the guide to choosing a business name sets out the order to work in.

Frequently asked questions

What is the luckiest number for a business name?

There isn't one. The tradition assigns each number a character and a set of sectors it fits, so the useful question is which number suits the work you do. 5 is favoured for trade and turnover, 8 for property, 6 for hospitality. A number that helps one business gets in the way of another.

How do I calculate my company name number myself?

Write the trading name without spaces or the entity suffix, replace each letter with its Chaldean value from the table above, add them for the compound number, then add those digits until one remains. Report both figures, compound first — 42/6, for example. It takes about a minute by hand.

Do I include Pvt Ltd, LLC or Inc in the calculation?

No. Entity suffixes are conferred by a registrar and describe legal form rather than identity, so the tradition leaves them out and scores the name the market actually uses. Where registered and trading names differ, score the trading name — what appears on signage, invoices and advertising.

Can I just pick a name from this list and register it?

Use one as a starting point, but do not skip clearance. These names were invented to demonstrate the arithmetic and have not been checked against any trademark, company or domain register. Search in your own jurisdiction and classes before spending on branding.

Why do so many names come out to the same few totals?

Because reduction is remainder arithmetic. Only nine outcomes exist, and the compound totals for each sit on a ladder nine apart. A name reducing to 7 must total 16, 25, 34, 43 and so on — which is why any given number is common rather than rare.

Is Chaldean or Pythagorean better for business names?

They disagree, and neither can be proved right. This site uses Chaldean as primary because its tradition is older and because it preserves compound numbers rather than reducing immediately. What matters is consistency: score every candidate in one system, or the comparison means nothing.

Where this runs out

This is the part most name lists leave off.

Numerology cannot tell you whether a name is available, and availability is the constraint that kills most naming projects. Nor whether a name is memorable, whether it survives being said aloud in a noisy room, or whether it still fits in six years.

It can tell you nothing about your market. A well-numbered name attached to a product nobody wants is a well-numbered failure. Nothing here forecasts revenue or should be read as a promise about performance. This method is a structured prompt for reflection — a way of asking whether the name you are drawn to matches the business you are building.

Practitioners disagree about details in ways that change the answer. Some count the entity suffix. Some score the legal name rather than the trading name. Some treat 11, 22 and 33 as master numbers never to be reduced, which would move several names here into a different group. Some use Pythagorean throughout. There is no adjudicating body and no experiment that settles it, so anyone claiming one correct method is overstating the case.

A further limit sits in the arithmetic. Because only nine outcomes exist, many quite different names share a number. "Bright Optics" and "Havenwood Instruments" are both 7s. Anyone presenting a "lucky name" as a scarce find is describing arithmetic, not scarcity.

Use the list to learn the method, and the method to think. Then decide as you would any other business question, with the numbers as one input among several.

Where this sits in the method

The reference rules behind this article, with the pages that set each of them out in full.

Three numbers, three different jobs

The birth number describes temperament, the destiny number describes direction, and the name number describes what a name carries. The same digit reads differently in each role, and the method keeps them apart throughout.

The compound sits under the digit

A name total is a two-digit number before it is reduced, and the two-digit reading is where the difference between two names on the same digit is recorded.

Prohibitions are blocks, not low scores

Where the source material tells a number to stay out of a trade, it is stated absolutely rather than as a weak fit. Those blocks are applied as blocks on the sector guides.
